Rally is essentially a community/network of startup founders with some software on top. It consists of a forum and a chat + LLMs-based search over forum archives and member profiles.
A forum for structured discussion, with channels like #intros, #advice, and #recruiting. Similar to Y Combinator’s Bookface. (Read more on Bookface here.)
A simple chat for quick/urgent questions. Founders respond fast, often within minutes.
Every post on the forum is indexed and discoverable via semantic search. Eventually, we aim for a Spotlight-like experience, where you can look something up in Rally in seconds.
Every Rally founder has a detailed profile, so you often can find somebody who has worked at a company X or has experience with Y without even having to ask the group.
For fundraising, hiring, sales, partnerships, PR, acquisitions, legal advice, urgent problem-solving (e.g., Apple banned our app), etc.
From when to hire first marketer/PM/etc., to how to engage Stanford students when you’re building a product for them, to how to get featured on TechCrunch
From how to unstuck a deal, to how to avoid litigation over a trademark to what to do if you were banned from the App Store.
Launch on Rally to show your product to other founders and get feedback! Might be especially valuable if you’re pre-launch.
We don’t do mandatory monthly calls because most founders find them annoying. But we love to hang out with other founders, so we organize sporadic and optional IRL and Zoom meetups once in a while.
Valuable things and info, be they great candidates, office space for lease/sale or simply to work from when visiting city X, or free grant money.
We look for ambitious founders working on interesting things that grow very fast. Our interview process also consists of an application and a 1:1 Zoom call with Rally founders.
We only recruit founders who believe what we believe: that many problems they face daily can in fact be solved through other founders, that there’s no great tools that help with this, and that it’d be cool to have one.
We moderate the forum and chat ourselves and encourage our founders to flag irrelevant, spammy, or self-promoting posts.
We introduce new members in batches, every week, via a Zoom call. This helps members to get to know each other better and thus be more helpful.
We don’t do trials but we do offer a full refund if you don’t
find Rally useful after 1 month.
